Toshiba Plans to Double Operating Profit to 500 Billion Yen

President Norio Sasaki of Toshiba makes comments during a news conference in Tokyo on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. In light of the crisis at Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant, the electronics maker may need to push back a target to capture 39 orders for nuclear reactors by several years from an original plan of March 2016. Sasaki also said Toshiba aims to more than double its operating profit to 500 billion yen in the year to March 2014, from 240.3 billion yen in the year that ended in March 2011. (Photo by AFLO)
