Tsukiji Fish Market Will Move to Reclaimed Land in Toyosu

The proposed site of the new market will cover about 40 hectares, twice as big as the present site. The new market is slated for completion in 2014 with the estimated construction cost of 160 billion yen, less than what it would cost to redevelop the current facilities at Tsukiji.
