November 30, 2011, Tokyo, Japan – Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Nissan Motor Co., presents its concept car “PIV 3” during a press preview of the Tokyo Motor Show. The Tokyo Motor Show opened to the press Wednesday as Japanese automakers unveiled a bevy of electric cars and other green vehicles at a much smaller venue in central Tokyo, to which the show moved from the nations largest exhibition hall in neighboring Chiba prefecture after 24 years. A total of 176 brands from 13 countries and regions participated in the show. The number of foreign automakers has increased to 24 from previous nine. Out of 398 models, 52 will be shown for the very first time.
