Japan’s microbiologist Yoshinori Ohsumi won Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discoveries in cell recycling system known as autophagy.
Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe called Ohsumi to congratulate him during a press conference held at Tokyo Institute of Technology where Ohsumi teaches.
