Le Corbusier's only building in Japan candidate for World Heritage status

The museum which was completed in 1959 is the only Japanese structure designed by Le Corbusier. UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee is expected to confirm the museum’s new status at it’s next meeting to be held in Turkey in July 2016.
