The Mainichi Shimbun is Japan’s oldest newspaper with an archive that stretches back over 100 years and contains a vast and thorough collection of images from Japan’s recent history including an unparalleled WWII archive. We are currently only able to showcase a very small portion of the archive in this site via the 10 gallery links below.
