At around 8.00am in the morning members of the Aum Shirikyo Doomsday Cult released poisonous Sarin Gas in five coordinated attacks on trains travelling through Kasumigaseki and Nagatacho stations. Police confiscate explosives, chemical weapons and biological warfare agents during a raid on Aum’s facility – No. 7 Satyam – on the foot of Mt. Fuji in March 1995. On the morning of 20 March 1995, cult members released sarin in a coordinated attack on five trains in the Tokyo subway system, killing 13 commuters, seriously injuring 54 and affecting 980 more.
