The 2015 vintage of Beaujolais Nouveau red wine went on sale today in Japan and even BicCamera electronics store got in on the promotion with huge displays outside it’s Yurakucho flagship store. This year’s vintage is reported to be one of the best in recent times. 13 million bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau 2015 will be exported from a total of 28 million bottles produced. Japan is the largest market outside of France for the wine and in 2014 imported over 7 million bottles. Prices per bottle are set around 2000 JPY (16.19 USD) to 3000 (24.29 USD).
