April 21, 2011, Tokyo, Japan – Spokesperson Junichi Matsumoto of Tokyo Electric Power Co. briefs the media on radioactive contaminated water leaked into the sea from the Unit 2 of the crippled nuclear power plant in Fukushima during a news conference at its head office in Tokyo on Thursday, April 21, 2011. Matsumoto said highly contaminated water, estimated at about 520 tons, was discharged into the sea through a crack in a maintenance pit of the plant located along the Pacific coast some 200km northeast of Tokyo.
